Florida Everglades

I've recently become dedicated to photographing nature on 120 film. This has fueled a big goal to visit every national park the US has to offer. A trip to the Everglades with my girlfriend Callie turned into a Florida adventure. We started by planning to visit her hometown and meet her family. I flew into Miami, and we explored Wynwood for the day. The next day, we visited Biscayne National Park, a very beautiful mile-long walk around the coast. I grabbed a pin for my board of parks I've been to. The following day, we traveled to the Everglades, about an hour's ride into the park. Of course, I bought a pin for my board at home. We walked around the swamp lands, seeing a couple of gators and enjoying the intense silence. We walked four trails, and with each, I snapped a photo on my 120 Hasselblad. After finishing our visit to the Everglades, we headed for Fort Myers, a two-hour ride from the east coast of Florida to the west coast. Fort Myers had just experienced hurricane Ian, leaving a path of flooding and destruction behind. Despite all the problems they were facing, Fort Myers was a lively and beautiful town. After a long weekend in Callie's hometown, we went from Fort Myers to Leesburg, Florida, to visit my lovely grandma Sue. We enjoyed a night out at The Villages, watching the old folks party down. I finished my Florida trip and added another park to my national park list.
